This event is presented by Busboys and Poets in partnership with D.C. Youth Slam Team and Split this Rock. Hosted by members of D.C. Youth Slam Team and coach Jonathan B. Tucker. $5 cover charge.

The Writer’s Center presents the opening of the latest art exhibition in the Jane Fox Reading Room. The exhibit will include work from Venezuelan artist and performer David Camero and Indian painter Vatsala Menon. Mingle with the artists at this evening reception and enjoy a performance by David Camero. Free admission.

The Writer’s Center hosts a weekly Open Door reading each Sunday. This Sunday, The Writer’s Center presents a reading by writer Richard Hoffman, who reads from his most recent memoir Love & Fury, and May Rihani, author of Cultures Without Borders.
